The game in the educational process: teachers' views (Master thesis)

The objective of the present survey is to approach the issue of the game in the educational process and the views of the teachers with emphasis on the enhancement of the students' development. The processing of the subject is based on an extensive review of literature resources, as well as on the recording of the views of the teachers of Primary Education. Initially, the use, frequency and type of play in the school environment is explored and then the contribution to the child's cognitive-mental, psycho-emotional, physical, sensory-motor-sensory, linguistic and social-moral development. According to the survey subjects, the use of the game is frequently used as a teaching method of the classroom, mainly by substitute teachers and specialists in Physical and Special Education, as well as those who have attended training seminars. In addition, the kind they prefer varies by giving priority to intellectual games. Recognize as a barrier to realization the burdensome curriculum, the lack of time and logistical infrastructure, the number of pupils and, in a few cases, the lack of know-how. Impressive were the results for the multilevel importance of the game, as the respondents' percentage of respondents was very high
