The aim of the present research is to capture the perceptions of the four-year students on the curriculum of the Department of Primary Education of the Democritus University of Thrace in the academic year 2016-2017 and to interpret and comment on these findings. For the needs of the research we studied earlier researches studying the same or similar topic for the Primary School of Elementary Education of the Democritus University of Thrace. The main conclusion is that students' perceptions differ from in many respects. However, in the questionnaire questions, it is possible to recognize the majority view of the curriculum. Research findings could be taken into account for possible future modifications to the Curriculum, given that changes proposed by such studies and implemented have been positively judged by the students
