Greek pre-service teachers’ attitudes toward the environment (Bachelor thesis)

Ιt is widely accepted, that humans’ behavior is responsible for the environmental problems on our planet. Therefore, it is necessary to change our attitudes and behavior toward the environment. Teachers play a key role in this change, because they can develop active citizens full of interest and sensitivity to environment. Taking into consideration all the above, in this study an effort was made to evaluate future teachers’ attitudes of the Department of Education in Alexandroupolis. We used the revised New Ecological Paradigm (Nep-scale), which was distributed to 197 students from all grades. Data’s analysis made clear that our sample tends to environmentally attitudes. These findings contribute to the design and implementation of environmental programs
